It's Halloween!!

The witching hour is upon us, when children haunt the streets garbed in outlandish ideals and spooky caricatures of the creatures that frighten our nights. The witching hour is upon us, when candy rules the darkness and those who oppose are taunted and punished with tricky games throughout the night. Do not ignore the rules of the witching hour....

But enjoy the festive occasion with some Halloween bling. Spoooooky... Above are the Flower Eyed Sugar Skull Studs ($48) by An Original Jewelry to celebrate Dia de los Muertos. The Sterling Silver Skull ($62) by Markhed (below) is made entirely with sterling silver and a jeweler's hand saw! Gorgeous...

The Preserved Spider Web Necklace ($210) by Dollybird is too cool. You can definitely rock this on Halloween night or any day of the year (except those cheery holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Valentine's Day - maybe a tad inappropriate). I also want to take a moment to mention a piece you should probably only wear on (or near) Halloween, or perhaps for a scary costume event or a horror movie marathon. Below, the Slit Throat Choker ($10) by Burlesquers is awesome! Very creepy... It would look perfect as a duet costume with someone else holding an axe, and that would be supereasy to put together last-minute.

So hopefully you're prepared with the bestestest non-cliche costume you could dream up and completely prepared for a night of fun, whether you're trick-or-treating, enjoying a busy doorbell-filled night with a large bowl of candy, or partying it up (hopefully not Snooki-style!). Enjoy the frightacular events of my favorite holiday! Let me know in the comments what you plan on doing, what costume you're wearing, and how it all ends up going in the comments!

Love,
Bling!
PS - I finally quit my 9-5 job and yesterday was my last day. I'm telecommuting for some boring work now, so I've still got a "day job" but I'll have much more time/energy and flexibility. However, preparation for the switch is what kept me away this past week and why I didn't put together a costume. I'll be relaxing in my apartment with the Boyfriend and a bowl of candy I'm not allowed to touch (trying to lose those last few pounds!) answering the door for about 3 children all night. Maybe we'll watch a scary movie!
